Volunteer Roles
Registration + Check In: You’ll welcome community members, determine their eligibility, and register them. Qualities: someone who is friendly, personable, able to work with folks from diverse backgrounds
Community Liaison: You’ll move with community members from station to station, interpreting and relaying info + questions to and from them and healthcare specialists. You’ll also stay with community members until their post-vaccination waiting period is done.
Escorter: You’ll help with flow, guiding community members + liaisons from station to station. You’ll also help relay logistical and material needs from stations to Hamkae Center staff. Qualities: someone who is friendly, patient, calm, detail-oriented
Requirements:
- 18+ years old
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (at least 2 shots; proof of vaccination will be requested)
- Professional proficiency in English and at least 1 of these languages: Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Tagalog, Hindi, Korean, Vietnamese
- Wear a mask
- Sign volunteer disclosure agreement form
- Provide own transportation
