6:30-8pm EST on 18 November 2024; virtual on Zoom
Since the election, we’ve been stressed and anxious, bracing ourselves for the amplification of bigotry and oppression that our communities- Asian American, immigrant, LGBTQ+, working-class, and other marginalized folks- will face in the years ahead. But we’ve navigated similarly challenging times before, and we refuse to let fear dictate our future. We’ll get through it if we protect ourselves and our most impacted folks, invest in community power, and take collective action for local and state-wide change. ✊
Being in community has the power to heal. Join our virtual community gathering this month for a safe space to discuss and process our feelings, concerns, and fears after the election with each other. Community can also help you find purpose and direction: we’ll also identify ways we can take charge through the General Assembly and beyond, to create a more just and equitable Virginia for all.
Open to all. Please do invite a friend or family member who could use this space; send them this page to RSVP. 🫶
