Join Hamkae Center for our monthly virtual gathering! As the election is coming up, this month’s topic is voting. We’ve heard that voting is important, but why? We’ll talk about the history of voting (+ voter suppression) in Virginia, how Asian American voters fit into the picture, what positions are on the ballot this November, how these roles impact us, and how to make a plan to vote! We’ll also hold space to discuss how we feel about voting, and how to encourage others to vote too.
