Christopher Rashad Green is Free*Dome Unlimited’s founder, and his bio is below:
Arriving in Richmond nearly 25 years ago, and as a formerly incarcerated individual of 15 years, I’ve been blessed to share my testimony of resilience and empowerment with many others. In 2010, it was revealed to me that my success in life would only come by serving others, by serving my community.Â
After being released from incarceration in 2013 for the last time, this RETURNING CITIZEN, through Volunteerism, Community Service, and Activism, and being blessed with the gift of discernment and empathy, has been able to articulate distinctly, emotional experiences in the criminal system.
I will continue to advocate for the rights of a better life for all individuals. No matter what race, religion, or ethnicity.Â
And on August 15th, 2016, I had my voting rights restored, and was able to vote in my first Presidential election in nearly 30 years!
Subsequently, through continued Service and Civic Engagement here in Richmond, I was able to be a part of founding a Court Watch Program, and worked on a Restoration of Rights Campaign for the “Automatic” restoration of voting rights for all in Virginia.
I presently work as a Community Organizer for the Legal Aid Justice Center in Petersburg, VA, and now look forward to continuing this journey of empowering others!
